Chelsea Players Must Improve : Mauricio Sarri

Chelsea battled to a 2 - 1 win against Newcastle United and that has left the manager unimpressed with the players whom he has now called upon to improve their way of playing otherwise the fight for the Champions League position will be near to impossible. Goals were scored by Pedro in the 9th minute and willian won the game in the 57th minute to decide the game in Chelsea's favour.


Sarri who remain optimistic that his side is still in the run for the league title came down hard on his players who were mainly disinterested through out the match but for a lack of concentration on the part of the Newcastle Team that led to the goal that won the game for Chelsea. Sarri has called on his players to improve their game play going into the congestion of matches to be played before the international break.

Manchester United are hot on the heal of Chelsea for a position in the Champions League games after a run of Four League Games unbeaten scoring a total of 12 goals in those matches. Mauricio may be forgiven for criticizing his players apparent lack of interest in the match even if it ended up in their favour knowing fully well that any slip may see the rejuvenated Man United close the gap between them.
