Governor Waziri Tambuwal Suspend Campaign Following The Death Of 30 Citizens

Governor Tambuwal to suspend campaigns over the murder of 30 citizens, it was reported that riot ensued in the caliphate state as election draws nearer, And the governor of Sokoto State has now moved to suspend all campaign in the state to protect lives and properties. The governor speaking after the death of scores and many injured in the local riots between the local thugs of the states, stated that the lives of his people and the people of Nigeria is more important than any political ambition he may have, hence he is stopping all campaign in the state to curb the present riots


Tambuwal aspired for the office of the president before he lost the primary election to the present PDP Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar. Tambuwal has further called on the youth to desist from using violence in the forth coming election while also promising the families of the victims that those responsible for the attacks and murder of more than 30 people and the injures of scores of people will be brought to justice.
