Man Stabbed By Thugs For Posting SDP Senatorial Campaign Banner At His Premises

In a Facebook Post shared by a user, it was reported that the victim identified as Fataye Yakubu was stabbed by thugs suspected to be APC thugs for posting another banner other than APC in the locality. The victim was said to have posted the banner of Natasha Apota's Senatorial Campaign Banner at his household when the thugs attacked him with knife and stabbed him.


Fataye Yakubu was stabbed five times by the thugs suspected to be APC members on the 3rd of January 2019 in Okehi Local Government, Kogi State. The victim was lucky to have escaped  the attack with injury alone but has called on the government to protect the right of the citizen to choose their leaders freely without compulsion.

After the attack on Fataye, people around the area were seen removing banners on their premises in fear of an attack that may be directed at them. there is an increasing fear of what will happen during the election if people chose to vote for a different party. The attackers are yet to be apprehended.
