PDP whose presidential candidate is, the former vice president of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar had enjoyed a peaceful and successful campaign in other states who welcomed him wholeheartedly, though same cannot be said of the masses of people who attacked the campaign members of the PDP. However, speaking after the presidential rally in Akure on Sunday, the former vice president of Nigeria has assured Nigerians that to the best of his ability he will ensure a peaceful election and also called on other candidates to put the safety of the people first in their dealings in this election.
PDP's presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, echoing the opinion of the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria also agreed that politics is not a do or die affair, hence the need to ensure a free, fair and credible election must be ensured not only by the parties involved but also by the Nigerians who is tasked with the responsibility of choosing a better leader in the country.
