True Reason For Dino Melaye's Arrest: Revealed

Dino Melaye was arrested on Friday upon surrendering to the police department. The arrest which takes immediate effect as Dino was arraign and charged in court late yesterday has garnered more
opinion than initially imagined, while many has maintained that the reason for Dino Melaye's arrest was based on the rumor that the senator made mockery of the President while presenting the 2019 budget at the joint parliament, it has indeed been revealed by the Nigerian Police that the true reason for the arrest of the senator from Kogi State Central Constituency was as a result of an incident involving Dino Melaye and a police office which led to the death of the police officer. It was in fact revealed by the Nigerian Police that no such thing as Mockery of the President presentation is included in the charges.

The Police while rubbishing the claim of some people concerning the behavior of the senator during the president presentation and maintain that Dino's arrest has nothing to do with politics and entirely based on the need to bring an accused/suspect before the court of law, and tried for the alleged crime committed by him.

Senator Shehu Sani also Rubbishes the claim that Dino was arrested because he made fun of the President presentation by confirming that the Accused Senator was not at the joint Parliament Assembly during the President presentation. He said;

'Senator Dino was not present on the day the President presented the budget to the Joint parliamentary session.'
