Wayne Rooney arrested in USA For Public Intoxication


The former Manchester United and England striker, was apprehended by the police in the USA where he now ply his trade on the account of public intoxication. The striker was taken custody of by the police on December 16th last  year.


Speaking to the media on the arrest of the famous star, the officials released a report to state the reason behind the arrest. The police department explained that the star was arrested and charged on the count of public intoxication. 'He was booked into the Loudoun County Adult Detention Centre on December 16, 2018, on a charge of public intoxication stemming from an arrest by the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police (MWAA).'

Wayne Rooney was regretful of his actions as he publicly apologized for his  behaviour, 'I want to apologise to all the fans and everyone else who has followed and supported me throughout my career.
"Of course I accept the sentence of the court and hope that I can make some amends.

Wayne Rooney who stars for Manchester United before returning to his boyhood club Everton now plays in the USA league was set to appear in court for hearing which however was waived after payment of a fine in the region of 116 pounds, He was released on his personal recognizance bond.
