Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar Responds to the Shooting of an Unarmed Civilian by Custom officer

The former vice president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria responded to the video going viral on social media after a custom officer was filmed shooting an unarmed civilian on the street. The video which was released by a woman who reported that the man was killed by the officer because of money. Atiku Abubakar expressed his disappointment at the response giving by the Nigerian Custom Service claiming that the man was not a passenger rather a friend of the custom officer.
The former vice president speaking after the Nigerian Custom Service released a statement denying the act of its' officer without as much of any remorse in their statement. The PDP Presidential candidate said in his twitter handle; 'I watched a video of a man shot dead by a customs officer in total horror. What is more shocking is the customs service response. They claim the man who was shot was a friend of the customs officer and not one of the passengers. How does this even address the issue?
The Former Vice President is not the only one to condemned the act of the Custom officer as Nigerians took to the social media to express their dismay at the apparent lack of security in the country.
