Muhammadu Buhari in a Condolence Visit to Shagari's Family

The president of Nigeria took the time to make a condolences visit to the family of the former president of Nigeria Shehu Shagari in his home town Sokoto State after his death at the National
hospital Abuja. His Corpse which was returned to his home town for burial earlier today was put to rest.


The President who had a raucous reception at arrival pray for the family of Shehu Shagari and extend his prayers to the dead. 'Today I paid a condolence visit to the family of former President Shehu Shagari, in Sokoto. May his soul rest in peace, and may Almighty Allah comfort the family.'

Shehu Shagari who served as the president of Nigeria during the second Republic felt ill and was taken to the National hospital Abuja for treatment, he died late on Friday at the age of 93. Many dignitaries were at his burial including Buhari whom it was rumored he reunited with the Governor of Sokoto State before his death.
