Derek Bentham has been jailed for life, and must serve a minimum of 13 years before being considered for parole following the brutal attack in Hindley. The 46-year-old, of Smithwood Avenue, Hindley, was found guilty of murder at an earlier hearing. According to reports giving by Manchestereveningnews, a teenage boy of around 17 years of age was stabbed to death in the town of Hale Barns. The teenager whose identity was not revealed at the time of writing was reported to have died in Hospital having been rushed there by the Local Police who responded to the incident.
