Real Madrid Re-Appoints Zinedine Zidane As Manager
Real Madrid FC have officially sack Santiago Solari after a series of defeat that saw the European Champions eliminated from the Europe elite Competition, drop out of therace to win the Liga Titile and was also eliminated by Barcelona in the Copa Del Rey.
Solari has seen his future thronw into jeopardy with these defeats with pundits sure the Real Madrid coach will be axed within the week. The position of manager was earlier rumored to be going to Jose Mourinho after some section of the Bernabeu Fans calls for the club to reinstate the former Manchester United coach, the club has now move to appoint former coach who resigned from his job after delivering the third Champions League in a row for the club.
A statement on the club's website reads: “The board of directors of Real Madrid, meeting today, Monday, March 11, 2019, has decided to terminate the contract that linked Santiago Solari with the club as coach of the first team.
“Real Madrid appreciates the work done by Santiago Solari and the commitment and loyalty he has always shown to this institution.
“The board of directors has alsoagreedthe appointment of Zinedine Zidane as the new coach of Real Madrid with immediate incorporation for the remainder of the season and the next three – until June 30, 2022.
"The president of Real Madrid will appear today with Zinedine Zidane before the media at 8:00pm(CET) in the press room of the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.”
