Residents Flee after The Killing of Soldiers in Rivers State

According to the reports shared by Nataionhelm, Two Soldiers were allegedly killed by thugs in the community who went away with their riffles on Saturday. The residents who were pictured leaving the community after the killings with the fear of the retribution from the military on the residents of the Arear.

The incident was reported to have occurred in the town of Abonnema community in the Akuku-Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State, yesterday and have now prompted the residents of the community to flee in terror.


The Soldiers who remain in the community after keeping the peace during the just concluded Presidential election were to have been attacked by unknown gunmen. No comments have been released by the Authorities as of the time of writing and the resident will be hoping the Government can intervene in the matter before it goes out of hand.
