Nigerian Bar Association To Embarks On A Two Day Warning Boycott of All Courts In Nigeria From Tomorrow

The Nigerian Bar Association has earlier today released that the members of the NBA shall embarked on a two day warning boycott of all courts in Nigeria from tomorrow 29th of January 2019. This they confirmed is as a result of the alleged corruption that is reported to have become rampant amongst the judiciary which prompt the interference of the Executive Arm of Government.


The said corruption can be related to the recent arrests removal of office of the former CJN of Nigeria, Onnoghen who was charged with corruption by the tribunal. However, not all members of the Judiciary are ready to admits the wrong doing of the former justice of the supreme court of Nigeria, as earlier today, some members of the NBA took to the street to protest the removal and appointment of a new CJN Hon Justice Ibrahim T. Mohammed by Pres. Buhari.

The actions of these members of the profession were highly condemned by some of the higher members of the NBA, most notable among them is Barrister Moses Jiyah Dangana who strongly condemned and discourage such acts as meaningless and baseless. In a twitter post reacting to the said protests in some section of the country he said; 'Some of my professional colleagues in the Nigerian Bar Association are said to be demonstrating somewhere now in Abuja against d appointment of d new CJN Hon Justice Ibrahim T. Mohammed by Pres. Buhari. I see no merit in their demonstration whatsoever.'
