Nigerians Lashed Out As Regina Daniels Shows Support For Atiku

Celebrities are no stranger to politics, many are approached by these politicians with the hope that they could tap into the public figure of these celebrities. Regina Daniels was no exemption, she was approached and offered an appointment by the Presidential candidate of People's Democratic Party.


While, the iconic teenage actress accepted her appointment wholeheartedly, many of her fans turned on her. Reginal Daniels who earlier this month revealed the letter of appointment given to her by the team of the Presidential candidate was reported to have made an unpleasant remarks against the opposition Candidate (Muhammadu Buhari). The remarks which was immediately removed from the actress's account was reported to be abusive towards the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and were always not likely to forgive such comments from one they consider not eligible for voting.

Reginal Daniels posted a shot of the appointment letter followed by her undying support for the PDP Presidential candidate. She said after editing the initial post, '... I accept my appointment and I am 100% atikulated' a popular slogan used by Aiku followers.

 

Immediately preceding this posts Fans and Nigerians alike pounced on the popular actress to show their disapproval of her involvement in politics, especially her foul declaration of the President of Nigeria. While some were only expressing worry as to how picking of sides in politics might affect her career and public figure. Others clearly are just showing their distaste at her trying to use her popularity to lure people into voting for someone. Below are some of the comments from twitter users.

Contrary to people's opinion Reginal Daniels is 19 years old and is very well capable of voting, she might not have started on the right foot while her appointment was supposed to be only as youth mobilizer with regards to her social status. The 19 year old actress will hoped that after the election Nigerians and her fans can understand why she did what she did.
