Real Madrid Has Won the Club World Cup For a Record Fourth Time


Goals from Luka Modric, Marcos Llorente, Sergio Ramos and an own goal from Nader secured a fourth club world cup for Madrid and the third in a roll. The silverware represent the first trophy for Solari since taking over the position on a permanent deal from former Spain coach, Julen Lopetegui.

Madrid who are languishing in fourth position having lost their last two league games were never in any danger of losing out in this competition as they cruise to victory in the final of the competition. the win lift Madrid above their bitter rivals Barcelona to fourth, having also won the last two trophies during the Zidane management, with this win Madrid become the first team to win the cup three times a row.

Luka Modric who won this years' Balon D'or was in magnanimous form as he scored the first goal that paved the way for an easy win for Madrid.
