The 24 Year Old Who Confessed To Abducting People for Money

The 24 Year Old suspect who was apprehended by the police in Niger state for kidnapping confessed that he had planned to make billions out of kidnapping people. The suspect who was later identified as Abubakar Muktar an indigene of Niger state saaid kidnapping has been his occupation for over two years now and was
not planning on stopping untill his arrest Late Friday for masterminding the kidnap of Abubakar Umar of Auna in Magama local government area of Niger state.

The Niger State Police Command has expressed their utmost determination to ensure the safety of the citizens of Nigeria by continuing to find and apprehend those whose acts endanger the lives and properties of the citizens.

Abubakar disclosed that his group's modus operandi was to kidnap victims and demand for ransom before releasing them. He said kidnapping over the years has brought in easy money for him.

He said: ”Kidnapping is the fastest business in Nigeria now; you can make your millions without too much stress. I love kidnapping and abducting people for easy money.”


He was however, to be apprehended by the police after kidnapping their victim and demanded for ransom. The police who upon giving the information immediately proceeded to the said location and rescued the victim while arresting the culprits.

According to Abubakar who was speaking to the Nations, he and his gang invaded the house of their victim, kidnapped him and demanded the ransom of N150 million for his release, out of which N13.5 million was eventually paid for his release, after rigorous negotiation.
