Atiku Speaks On Daily Trust Invasion Promises Freedom Of Press In His Administration

The Presidential candidate of PDP has spoken on the recent happening in the Nigerian media house; Daily Trust whom were invaded this night and had some members of their crew arrested by the Nigerian Army. He maintained that the people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria shall have absolute freedom of the press.


Speaking reagrding the invasion and arrests of the members of Daily Trust Atiku Abubakar said; 'I have received with concern news of the sealing of Daily Trust corporate headquarters in Abuja. Freedom of the press is the bedrock of our democracy and nothing should be done to compromise it.'

Daily Trust Headquarters was invaded immediately after the Bornu office of Daily Trust was closed down, and the authorities are yet to release any comments regarding the reason or the where about of the arrested members of Daily Trust.
