Imo State APC Chairman Killed by Gun Men

Imo State APC Chairman, Ifeanyi Ozoemena was killed by gunmen late last night, Tuesday. The killing which was said to have occurred in the home of the victim happened just hours after Ifeanyi presided over a meeting in Logara/Umuohiagu ward on Tuesday.


speaking to the media after the death of Ifeanyi, Chief Martin Opara who confirmed the death said there is a panic among the people of the community in anticipation of the upcoming election. 'We absolutely don't know what to do as this latest crime on community has caused panic like it has never been seen before. The government has to do something about this, as the people are scared of what might befall them during the election.' He said.

The gunmen were reported to have arrived in an SUV, while no arrests has been made, the people of Imo State has called on the Authorities to bring to justice the perpetrators of this evil act. Speaking on this Chief Opara said; 'We have sent a delegate to the Police department to have this issue tackle and ensure a safe haven for the people of Imo State especially during this election.'
