Barcelona Moved Five Points Clear At The Top Of The Table


Barcelona extended their lead at the top of the table to five after recording a 2 - 1 win over Getafe. Goals from Lionel Messi and Luiz Suarez was enough to see Barcelona through to the win as they extend their lead over second placed Atletico De Madrid to five points.


Messi goal makes him the first Barcelona player ever to score first at the start of every year for the fourth time in a row, since 2016 - 2019. Messi's goal is his 16th of the season putting him first in the scorers chart for the 2018/2019 season.

Real Madrid remain fifth in the log and nine points behind Barcelona after a sluggish star to the season which saw the sacking of the former Spain coach after just 4months in charge.
