Journalist Working For Iran’s State TV Arrested By The U.S. Police

Iranian state-run Press TV reporting on the arrest of anchor Marzieh Hashemi.
According to the report giving by the Press TV,  the American Journalist working for the Iranian State has been Arrested by the United State Police. The Arrest which was made earlier on Sunday  after the Press TV Anchor for the Iranian English-Language TV reporter was in the United State to visit Family. The U.S. Authorities are yet to release any charges against the Journalist.


The Journalist identified as the Press TV Anchor Marzieh Hashemi became the first Press TV Journalist to be detained by the United State Government since Donald Trump came to power. Press TV has revealed that the detained Journalist is yet to be given opportunity to contact her Family. She was a Press TV Anchor and a Film Documentary for the Press TV.

Marzieh was born Melanie Franklin in the United States and changed her name after converting to Islam. Reasons for her arrests has not yet been made public but the TV Anchor is known for her outspoken zeal to speak against the treatment of the women, Muslims and Africa-American Women in the State. Marzieh has reportedly complained of the treatment given to her in the Prisonwas quoted by Press TV, as saying that she was prevented from performing her Islamic virtues in the Prison, offering her pork as food.

Hashemi had been living in Iran for more than a decade, various Iranian media said.
She has filed several reports on the subject of discrimination against women, Muslims and African-Americans in the United States.
