Members of the SDP Divided Over Presidential Ticket

 

Members of the Social Democratic Party started a large protest against the parent party concerning the presidential tickets between the two major aspirants of the office of the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Donald Duke and Former Minister of Information, Jerry Gina.


The Protests was staged in Lagos and Abuja respectively by members of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), The Protests in Abuja was as a result of the recent decision of the court to declare Jerry Gina as the Presidential Candidate of the Party. The Supporters of the Former presidential candidate of SDP, Donald Duke took to the street to voiced their opinion as regards the matter. According to them, The election which emerged Donald Duke as the winner of the Primary was Free, Fair and credible and thus, will jot accept the decision of the court. 

This Protests in Abuja provoked a response from the supporters of the former Minister of Information, Jerry Gina as they equally began a protests in support of the court declared winner of the primary election. The party members who called on the other section of the party to obey the decision of the court on the matter, also send a unity message to all members of the Party, to  maintain a unified and peaceful family amongst party members.
